The last couple of months I've started doing YouTube videos instead of blogging. Head over to YouTube and check them out :)

  1. Hello Mads, this is my third attempt to leave a comment, so hopeful this will go through.
I just wanted to say how greatful I am to have stumbled across your video series, they have been EXTREAMLY helpful.
I have tackled many projects such as the icebox to refrigerator conversion, but ONLY after watching you do it and gaining the confidence to do it as well. I'm glad to repot it went very smoothly thanks to your insight and instruction and I too am enjoying cold drinks and real food aboard my boat as well.
I too recently installed the Alado Furling system and I Love it, one less trip to the bow in choppy waters is always a plus.....lol
I have a 28' Spirit sailboat called Island Oasis, and kept in Madisonville, La , just north of New Orleans, La on the Northern shore of Lake Ponchatrain.
Lake ponchatrain is Great Lake to learn to sail on and has lots of open areas to just get out and go.
Anyway if you ever venture out to this area look me up and I'll take you out on lake ponchatrain or better yet the Gulf of Mexico.
Happy sailing my friend , I hope you actually get my message this time and we can trade boat stories.

    Reguards,
    Paul Lombard

  2. I can't figure out how to leave a comment on YouTube.

You're in the perfect boat for a single man or couple. The Ballad is beautiful, seaworthy, fast enough, small enough to handle and afford...she's damn near perfect!

I cannot tell you how much I dislike your new boat with her poorly laid out interior. Three cabins? Two heads? Why on God's earth do you want two heads? In this boat everything will cost twice as much and take twice as long. That galley and saloon is made for marina living, not for use at sea.

When you get some experience, you'll realize what a colossal blunder the purchase of this boat was.
